Can I pay for a new feature to be added to DJ Event Planner?

If you would like to see a feature implemented in DJEP without delay, our custom development option may be appropriate. We have received over 4,000 feature requests in the past 15 years. The timetable for completing these requests is based on a number of factors:

  • how many other users are requesting it

  • how many other users will use it

  • amount of time, effort, and expense it would take

  • what it will add to the software

  • how much time our development team has

If you can't afford to wait, custom code development is available for $100 per hour. This will push your feature request to the top of the list.

To proceed with making a custom development request, please post your request in our official support forum.

Log into your support forum account at eventplannerforum.com -> Wish List -> Custom Development Requests -> New Topic

Our development team will review your request and respond to you with any additional questions via your forum thread. They will also provide you with an estimate of how many hours it will take to develop your request. This will provide you with an approximate cost should you wish to proceed with your request. We strive to begin work on your request as soon as time allows us to do so following confirmation that you have approved us to proceed. Completion time is dependent on the complexity of the new feature, but can usually be completed with a few hours of work and within a 3 month time frame.

Please note that all discussion of the feature request must take place on the support forum, not through email or telephone contact.

All paid feature requests will also be made available to other users at the completion of the request.

Once the your custom development request is completed you will have 7 days to make payment for the work. If the invoice is not paid within that time frame, a late charge of $10 per day will start accruing.

We reserve the right to (and probably will) refuse a custom development request if it is likely that no other users will find the feature useful.

We also reserve the right to refuse a request that is large in scope. If your request is sufficiently complex there is no way for us to reliably provide an estimate of the time it will take to complete the request.
