There have been recent changes to how Yahoo can connect to third party programs.

Yahoo currently requires an App Password to be created.  This tutorial will walk you through setting that up.

1.  Login to your Yahoo account.

2. Click on your account icon image in the upper right and select ‘Add or Manage Accounts’

3. On the next screen, click on Account Info

4. Select Account Security in left menu – you may be asked to re-enter your password.

5.  Click on ‘Generate app password’ or, ‘Manage app Passwords’ (if you already have app passwords previously created.

6. In the drop down titled ‘Select your app’, select ‘Other App’ and give it a name. This is for your reference only.  Then click ‘Generate’

7.  Copy the generated password.

8.  Now Log in to DJ Event Planner -> Setup -> Emails -> Settings

9.  Click expand next to the account type you are setting up

10.  Click ‘Setup’ next to outgoing server

11.  Enter the server details:

Mail Username:  full yahoo email address (including the @yahoo.com)

Mail Password:  Paste the app password you copied from Yahoo

Outgoing SMTP Server:  smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Outgoing Port Number: 465

Then click Save Settings.

If want to setup your IMAP in DJEP, click Setup next to Incoming Server and enter your credentials:

Mail Username:  full yahoo email address (including the @yahoo.com)

Mail Password:  Paste the app password you copied from Yahoo

Incoming Server:  imap.mail.yahoo.com

Incoming Port Number: 993
