How is the email signature used for employees?

Many DJEP users have requested the ability to have an email signature on a per-employee basis instead of on a company-wide basis. Each time an email is created, the "signature" is added to the email.

To set up email signatures for your company and your staff members go here:

Log in to DJ Event Planner -> Setup -> Emails -> Settings -> Expand the correct employee category -> Setup Email Signature

There are two options for the signature.  Plain text signature can only be used on Plain Text Email templates.  HTML signatures can only be used on HTML Email templates. 

For Company Email Signatures you will need to add the merge tag for that signature to any email template you want the signature to appear.  The correct merge tag for the Company Email Signature is: <company_email_signature>.


For employee-based email signatures, the signature will only be added to the email by use of a merge tag. The value for this merge tag is: <logged_on_employee_email_signature>. You would place this merge tag in your email templates where you want the signature to appear.

When a new email is generated using this merge tag, the template will be populated with the value of the employee email signature...for the employee that is currently logged on and generating the email.
